3100 Mobile Fault FinderA go/nogo tester for simple testing of 2G/3G mobile devicesThis product was discontinued at end of October 2010. The replacement product is the 4400 Mobile Phone Tester series. The 3100 Mobile Fault Finder was designed to meet the requirements of point-of-return and service center functional testing. It provides a user-friendly and cost-effective way to identify "No Fault Found" devices being returned from the market. Additionally, the 3100 provides a quick functional verification of mobile devices as they leave the service center, ensuring proper operation when returned to the customer. The 3100 has no display and is therefore remote controlled from a PC via a simple serial or USB connection. The PC application is very simple to use and provides easy management of mobile characterization values.
The main problem most service centers face today with new WCDMA, HSDPA or EVDO phones is the lack of Go/NoGo test equipment that allows them to conduct simple failure analysis of these new phones. The 3100 Mobile Fault Finder fills this need, enabling non-technical personnel to check WCDMA and EVDO phones for errors. The 3100 is remote controlled by 7311 Lector. Lector not only controls the 3100, but also can store coupling factors for today's most popular phones. The architecture of the 3100 is flexible enough to allow for future enhancements e.g. those introduced into the WCDMA standard by means of a simple software update. The 3100 Mobile Fault Finder:
